Founded in 1966, Killarney Youth Soccer Association is a 100% volunteer run organisation providing soccer to boys and girls from age 5 to 17.
Our goal is to make organized soccer accessible to everyone in our community and take pride in having the lowest registration fees across all Vancouver and area clubs.
While our fees may be low, we still provide all the things you expect from your soccer club including: a strong focus on Long Term Player Development; professional development coaching; goalie clinics; club-funded access to tournaments; innovative coaching tools; and fun events, all at NO ADDITIONAL COST!
U6 and U7 teams play in house meaning that teams play other Killarney teams. U8 and up play against other local clubs. U6-U9 practice in gyms during the winter, typically after Remembrance Day when the weather gets damp.
U6 - U7 teams are co-ed. From U8 boys teams and girls teams are separate. At U11 and up girls generally play on Sunday. Boys play on Saturday.
U12 and younger teams will have a "mini wrap-up" at the end of the season in which all players will receive trophies as well as activities and pizza.
Mini (U6 - U10) Teams practice once a week and play once a week on Saturdays, usually before 1pm. The Fall practice schedule is set for these age groups as follows:
Teams U11 and older practice twice a week. Practice schedules are set just prior to the season and are selected by the volunteer team officials to best fit their schedules.
Divisional players, U11 and up, should register by May 15th to help ensure placement on a team. Please contact the club coordinators and arrange assessments to make sure there is space on a team.
Older players, U13+, will often play on turf while younger players will play on grass and, if grass fields are closed, on gravel fields. Practice for older teams will also be on turf when available. Practice for U12 and younger will be on Killarney Oval or Killarney Gravel.
Players will be supplied with shorts, socks and a jersey. The jersey must be returned at the end of the season. Players must provide their own soccer cleats and shin guards.
Each team has team officials including a coach and manager, and possibly assistant or co-coaches. All team officials are volunteers, have passed Criminal Records Checks and are usually parents or guardians of players on the team. The coach will run practices and games. The team manager will manage the RAMP team website, distribute schedules and assign duties such as snack and field lining to parents.
Registrations are made via our Online Registration System... click below to launch the KYSA RAMP system and get started.
