Make Soccer Fun

Oct. 02, 2023

Nine out of ten kids say “fun” is the main reason they enjoy sports

All players, parents, guardians and team officials play a role in making soccer fun.

When you registered for soccer at KYSA, every single player, parent and coach agreed to a Code of Conduct.   Please take two minutes and re-read the Player/Parent/Coach codes at https://www.kysa.ca/content/code-of-conduct

While the code has many points, it is very easy to remember the basics when it comes to ensuring your young athletes are having fun.

  • These are KIDS
  • This is a GAME
  • Coaches are VOLUNTEERS
  • Referees are HUMAN (and often not much older than the players) - they are also learning
  • This is not the World Cup

Kids want to play soccer because it's fun. Let's continue to be the best role models for our children so they have the most fun playing soccer.

Lastly, it is a condition of club membership that all members follow their respective Codes of Conduct at all times. Failure to comply with these Codes of Conduct will result in action being taken.
